Beautiful x

Beautiful Catbells - drove car from Castlerigg camp site to park up near base of Catbells/Maiden Moor - once up we stayed up retracing our steps - wonderful walking area - although the wind blowing from Newland Valley can be strong.

Rachel Degg Steve Degg we need to go back here😫xx

BEAUTIFUL DERWENT WATER!!! My husband's brothers ashes were scattered there overlooking DERWENT WATER at SURPRISE VIEW, as it was his brothers favourite place. Is one of the most GORGEOUS of the Lakes I think. So TRANQUIL! SERENE! VERY PEACEFUL!

Looking through the trees on Walla Crag you see Bassenthwaite Lake and in the far distance, across the Solway, the Scottish hills. The summit of Walla Crag is only 1.6 km walk from our park and provides amazing views.

One of the best walks from Castlerigg! Fantastic sunsets too! Must get back soon!!

One of our favourite walks and good for kids too. It is stunning and less busy so you can sit at the top of Walla and take in the views.

Lots of super walks from the camp site - no need for car!

Stunning

I can’t wait to climb it. I’m climbing the Wainwright’s and I’m leaving Walla Crag until last! The plan is to stay at Castlerigg Hall and then only have a short climb to lug a picnic up to the top and have a little celebration! Only 26 summits to go!

One of my favourite places 😍 see you in August x
