March 2025: First Aid and Fire Training
Following last years training, new staff members joined our existing team on First Aid and Fire Training courses.
Last year also saw the repurposing of the old telephone box as a home for our recently purchased defibrillator
(Our defibrillator is available to the local community as well as our guests. It is registered with ‘The Circuit’, which is used for the national database location finder). Defib Finder

Members of our dedicated team have recently completed their First Aid training, ensuring they are fully equipped to handle any medical emergencies with confidence and efficiency.
This essential knowledge enhances our ability to provide a safe and secure environment for both our staff and guests. Whether it’s a minor injury or a more serious situation, our team is prepared to respond swiftly. Fire training
On March 4th, our team also took part in our annual Fire Safety Training Day. The session covered fire risks, preventative measures, emergency procedures, and risk assessments.
The theory training took place in Castlerigg Gallery, followed by a hands-on fire extinguisher demonstration outdoors. This vital training is an integral part of our comprehensive safety program, ensuring that our team is well-prepared as we approach the new season.
