Autumn Charity Coffee Days at Castlerigg Hall
Lake District Holiday Park near Keswick
. October 2025: Autumn is a beautiful time at Castlerigg Hall, our award-winning Lake District holiday park overlooking Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. The golden colours and calm atmosphere make it the perfect season to bring our community together. This year, we hosted two charity coffee days in support of local and national causes.
A Coffee Morning for the Calvert Trust
Our first event supported the Calvert Trust, a fantastic Lake District charity that helps people with disabilities enjoy outdoor adventures. We held the coffee morning at the Castlerigg Gallery and were thrilled to see so many people come along.
The weather was kind. Guests relaxed under our new pergola, enjoying fresh coffee, homemade cakes, and stunning views of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. The morning was filled with smiles, good conversation, and community spirit — all for a great local cause.
Supporting Macmillan Cancer Support
Our second event formed part of the Macmillan National Coffee Morning, one of the UK’s best-loved charity fundraisers. Once again, the Castlerigg Gallery opened its doors at our Keswick holiday park. Every penny raised went straight to Macmillan Cancer Support.
We loved welcoming so many familiar faces. Guests enjoyed homemade cakes, chatted over coffee, and browsed the local artwork on display. The friendly atmosphere captured everything we love about our Lake District community.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We want to thank everyone who joined us, donated, baked, or helped in any way. Your generosity means so much — both to us and to the charities we were proud to support.
We’re already planning more community events in Keswick for next year. Until then, thank you for making our Autumn Charity Coffee Days such a success and for being part of the Castlerigg Hall community.
