Castlerigg’s reception has an abundance of information for visitors to the Lake District, with maps, books, postcard, leaflets – and always plenty of helpful advice at hand from the proprietors. So just sit down for a while and plan your itinerary!

Our amenities include: a bathroom for having a good soak; a distinctly traditional Cumbrian restaurant; a well stocked shop for all essentials; a laundrette for washing your clothes; and a campers kitchen for campers to prepare and serve meals.

Other facilities include a payphone, a gas cylinder exchange service, chemical disposal point for touring caravans, battery charging and ice-pack freezing.

Well behaved dogs are welcome if kept on a lead and we have a small dog exercise area where supervised dogs can be let off the lead.
