Well we did it! The knees were a bit sore but the beer tasted all the better for it at the finish line. Mixed weather and very windy on the tops with some hill fog but dropping through the cloud layer we were presented with amazing views over Crummock Water. Just below Dalehead summit we met Sir Chris Bonnington who was providing encouragement to all participants. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported us for this great cause. We achieved our target of £600 for MS. Thank you again. The Castlerigg Cuddy's. ... See MoreSee Less

John Mann Mannylovley picture and campsite - such a shame about the staffs attitude towards children - we booked a 3 night stay for the Keswick festival arriving between 20.00 & 20.30 on the Friday - when we got the camper and awning pitched the time was 21.00 our children went off to play on the campsite with other children while we caught up with friends around the BBQ within 1 hour of this we were approached by the night watchman who told us there was a strict 22.30 no noise policy - he then 22.20 to explain in no uncertain terms that if we were to continue to be what he considered to be noisy we would be asked to leave the campsite - in no way did we consider ourselves to be exeptionally noisy - he also told another party of our group the same - we said we weren't aware our noise level was exesive and that we would retire for the evening - the next morning we were again told that if we were considered to be noisy again we would be removed from the site - to be true this shocked us as we had not been noisy and we had retired as soon as told - the next night (Saturday) we spent the entire evening shushing the children and making sure we were as quiet as possible - at 23.30 we were putting our children to bed in the camper when the night watchman knocked on our awning to again threaten us - this really upset the children who thought they were in trouble and the2 weeks ago
